Can someone suggest a category please?

So, I've submitted this site to a couple different categories:

http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Antiques_and_Collectibles/Varied_Merchandise/W/

http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Visual_Arts/Thematic/Nature_and_Wildlife/

But it seems I'm missing the mark. (In the past I've found that when you follow the rules, submit to the right category and have a decent site you actually get listed fairly fast.)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can try submitting to a local category like Oakland, CA or whatever town the business is based from. You can also volunteer to edit. The site looks fine on a one minute review so it just needs an editor to process it.

 

I agree with ttbar, the more specific you can be, the more you're likely to get listed.

I had one of mine listed only after I submitted it to a local category. It still took a year to show up there though. I only just found out today by accident, that it in there at last. I'd given up on them

 

Shopping gets a lot of submissions. tbarr60 is correct. If you have a brick & mortar walkin business, you might be better off submitting to: http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/North_...ties/O/Oakland/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/

You possibly could be listed in both places.
