Can Someone Recommend Good Affiliate Training Program

I've been an internet marketer, part time, for about a year. I've been marketing only Clickbank products using mini websites and PPC advertising. I've made some money -- have been netting about $600 per month average.
So I do have some knowledge about the basic concepts of affiliate marketing.

However, what I really want is to replace my regular job with this and I have a long ways to go before I can even think about doing that. I'm exhausted from the pace I'm keeping and don't know how much longer I can keep this up.

My sales have started to take a nosedive and I kind of feel like maybe I need to go back to the drawing board. From reading posts in this forum, I know there's a lot I'm missing out on and A WHOLE LOT that I have to learn.

With all this in mind, can anyone recommend a really good basic training manual. I prefer to read rather than sit and listen to videos. Videos just seem to have so much fluff in them and I just don't have time to sit through it. I few of the things that I really need help with is sales copy on my landing pages, Adwords strategies, detailed instructions on setting up autoresponders, and just basic marketing concepts.

I do much better when I have a blueprint to follow, and right now I feel like I'm following about 50 different blueprints and I'm starting to get overwhelmed.

Before making recommendations, one note please. I'm very strapped for funds and coming up with the money to purchase another training program isn't going to be easy, so please only recommend those programs that you have tried yourself and that you sincerely think will be beneficial to me in my stage of the game. I hope you don't take offense with that statement. I've been in the business long enough to know that there are lots and lots of training programs out there that are a waste of time and money and people are just promoting them purely for the commission -- not really believing in the program itself. (I've probably been guilty of that myself on occasion) I just desperately need some direction, and time and money are both running thin for me.

One last note -- I really can't afford a monthly membership fee at this point, so I'm looking for a program that has a one-time fee.

Thanks in advance for your help

I hate to plug away the program in my sig, but I was trained by the folks at Affilorama several years ago. I still maintain a membership to keep up with the everchanging web. Unfortunetly, there is only so much you can learn reading in this nice forum.

I agree that Ewen Chia is an awesome resource for all things affiliate. I also understand exactly where you are - not a beginner but a frustrated intermediate novice who's bucking to go pro, right? I feel ya - me too!

Check out my blog in my signature and put it in your favorites. For my development of this blog, I am getting "secret & private" guidance from some big names and I want to help those who are in my shoes so you too could benefit from my experience concurrently. My blog is fairly new but I'm slowly plugging along with quality content. Today's post is especially helpful - I review a guy named Jon Olson for his "Pizza Plan" - a true bootstrap plan if I ever read one.

Jon recounts his budget-friendly start and how he keeps himself focused with simple tasks and an under-utilized plan of reinvesting his profits for a 6 month period - then - he duplicates his efforts to multiply his rewards...

Too vague? well I can't just reprint his ebook here - go get your own copy :) I really hope this helps you. I already made $29 today and I read his ebook on Monday!

Want to get started - click the link in my siggy ;-)

I would seriously reconsider buying any kind of a "training program."

The problem with asking others what they think, in most cases, is that they are talking out of their hat. They say that this particular product is a good one, but it's creator makes very little through affiliate marketing.

On top of that, he doesn't even know how to market products!

And then you have the ones who say that they made X amount of $ by reading one particular site, but they would have made that much regardless.

They give credit to a source they could have done themselves.

    Make sense?

And how 'bout these so-called "experts" who say you can make X amount of $ a week, but they leave out the fact that it takes over 40 hours to do it, and a minimum-paid worker makes more, and works fewer hours.

Never thought of that one, have ya?

I'm not saying all are talking shit, but it's a pretty safe bet that nearly all are.

And if you have little money to play with....

Did you know that the true "super affiliates" just started out frm scratch, and got better as time went on?

The bottom line to their success is:

    They sell products that sell!

They have a good site; a site that visitors can easily navigate through.

They sell mainly high-commission products. For example: Insurance and generic drugs.

And, they maket it the right way.

    That is, basically, it.

    Take a look at http://www.flamingoworld.com/

    She is a "super affiliate."

    She started from scratch.

But she sells everything. ... Even very low commission products, like clothers and electronics.

Most of her sales are repeat customers.

If you haven't already, start off by going to the other major Affiliate Networks, like, Commission Junction, LinkShare, Shareasale....

Also do keyword searches. Example: high commission products, Affiliate drugs (pain killers are a big one), affiliate insurance, On and on....

Put the word affiliate along with another keyword.

Think of such things you could sell.

Lawyers also pay out high commission sales.

Also, read affiliate boards, like ABestWeb.com. That board is, in my opinion, the top 10 boards to read.

I doubt very few creators of affiliate training programs even know enough to tell you any of this.

Nearly all, I bet, will give you just the basics of affiliate marketing.

Devote a certain amount of time, like, say, two hours each day studying this subject.

If you have to, break it up into two sessions: One hour before work, one hour afterwards.

Pretend this is a class in session. Because, ya know what? ... It is.

Give it at least a year, if not much sooner, and you will get there.

That is, if you have a fully-functional brain.

Definitely searching in google will help you out a lot with affiliate marketing. I have figured that utilizing affiliate programs that offer residual income is the way to go. This way you don't always have to rely on making a sale.

This way you can focus on growing a long term business.
