    can someone put virus into your website on purpose

    So if the virus makes it through your website,Could that hurt your page ranking with Google

    please advice

    Yes, there is. If virus sleep on your cpanel, that will cause damage. Some cpanel provider will suspend your account till the problems are solved. In your suspended time your traffic, SERP will drop down.
