I'm going to really show my ignorance here, but I read something this morning that tells me I really don't understand domain registration and hosting, even though I've been doing this for over a year!! I am currently marketing Clickbank products using individual minisites for each product. I have everything set up through Homestead -- domain registration as well as hosting. Each site has a domain name that includes the name of whatever product I am promoting -- and they're not necessarily products that are related to each other in any way. I chose Homestead because I knew I was going to build many sites and each additional site I add is only another $3.00 per month, which includes domain and hosting. What I'm not understanding is the "subdomain" part of all this. It sounds like all of my sites are subdomains of each other?? (First off, I don't really understand what that means.) I'm not really crazy about Homestead's sitebuilder and someone had recommended to me that I use MATTIEBLAZEHOSTING. For $79 per year, it says I can have unlimited subdomains, which is MUCH less than I am spending now. Am I comparing apples to apples here or is there something I'm not understanding? You appear to be correct. Some hosting providers only give you X amount of addon domains, while some give unlimited. If they offer unlimited addon domains (and subdomains) then you will be able to host all of your sites off of one hosting account.
