Can someone please explain HOW this site got over 1 Millions Facebook Likes???

    Can anyone explain how this site has over 1 Million Facebook likes, how did they do it?

    They are probably getting big traffic per day and the "FACEBOOK LIKE BOX" is somewhere on the site.

    Maybe, but if you check alexa 27% of their users visited facebook before visiting the site....seems like they are actually GETTING a large amount of traffic from FB.

    Any ideas on how this happening?

    They could also be running facebook ads if they have a large budget. I've gotten tons of likes on my own facebook pages that I've run ads for. Plus you can get really cheap clicks when advertising with facebook.

    Can you please help me understand how to run facebook ads inexpensively. I have tried before and it seems more expensive then adwords...

    How much does it cost on per click OR a per "like" basis

    CPC depends on what you are targeting. You can spend very little but you won't get much face time on Facebook. You would have to play around with it and see what works the best for you.

    Coupon site always have big traffics like groupon .
    But seem like i cant enter the site anymore.
    What i found how those coupon fan page get likes is with contest, some give away of their own product or some discount coupon free for them to claim it.
    Some even use model search campaign to increase their fans.

    I looked at the site and it was established in 2005. Also the traffic in Alexa is quite big.
    Now you can run campaigns like ... if you like this site you get ( something for free ).
    In time you reach that number.

    Quite successful site, I must say. Probably their promotion was very good, they are also a good aged site. Seems have been doing the campaign over the years.
