Ive seen several times now that its better to have backlinks from different class c IP's but what exactly is that? I know a hosting server has an IP address but where does the class c bit come in? For example if i have 2 reseller accounts with hostgator, would they be on the same class c ip? how would i check? Help appreciated here.
Thanks BILZ. I was looking for the same info. So it is better to host at different IPs if I have several site and would like to link them from one to another
well i got educated, thanks for the info but what about A-class ips is it related to the territory or region
When IP protocol was established and they were handing out IP classes, they didn't do it very systematically. So, they aren't assigned by region or country. Here a good explanation taken from here. ...and thanks for the green rep.
