Hearing this since a long-time, but could not understand the practical benefits of using the same ? Can someone care to explain or re-direct to a proper source of information ? Thanks.
I think what you are talking about is : 2 way links (aka reciprocol) - Where 2 websites link to each other. 3 way links (aka Triangular Linking) - Where website A links to website B and website B links to website C and website C links to website A. The benifits? I dont think there is. A link is a link, who cares where it comes from. Others may disagree but I have never seen anything where 1 is better than the other.
3 way links are also offered/asked for when sites A and B both have high PR, but C does not (or is just new). (A and C are from the same person) then A (pr6) links to B (pr6) and B (pr6) links to C (pr0) but that's for the pagerank addicts
I tend to stay away from three way links unless I get into a situation where a webmaster doesn't want to add my site because of its low pr or ranking. In that situation I use my high pr site as a bargaining chip in order to get my lower site listed on a high pr site. It tends to work very well.
3-way link exchange & parallel link exchange -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I often get people asking the difference of 3-way link exchange and parallel link exchange. Here is an explanation. 1) What is a 3-way link exchange? * You have two sites - "A" & "B". * Your link partner has one site "C" . * If "C" links to "A" and in return, "B" links to "C". This it is called 3-way link exchange. 2) What is a parallel link exchange? * You have two sites - "A" & "B". * Your link partner also has two sites "C" & "D". * If "C" links to "A" and in return "B" links to "D". This it is called parallel link exchange. PM me if you are interested in 3-way link exchanges or parallel link exchanges.
Don't do three way links, mainily cuz they're hard to manage and check if you have numerous amounts of them.
