phpBB3 - Paid subscribers Mod We have lots of levels on our phpbb3 forum, VIP & regular users among about 5 or 6 others. I need a mod that will allow a registered user to upgrade themself to a VIP through to paid service. So they login to phpBB3, goto www.forum.com/Premium -> click a link that says Upgrade me. Then they goto paypal's site.. pay the money.. (in the background, paypal tells our site their membership has been upgraded) Paypal sends them back to our site.. Their Membership is upgraded and they are automaticly added to the VIP group for the period they requested. eg. you pay 10$ for one month VIP, so we want after a month for their membership to VIP to be cancelled. our payments are non-recurring, but would need the option to add on at the end of the subscription by paying again. also would like an automatic email to be sent out about 1 week prior to VIP expiring to tell them of their expiring account. The upgrade function in phpBB is pretty easy; all you have to do is add the user to a special group. They should be removed from the group when the user cancels or their membership expires. I haven't seen this in phpBB before although its been a while since I last used it. I use something similar which is already built into VBulletin. I think its a much better forum than phpBB.
