i own the website portlandsauto.com and i want to hear peoples opinions on how the website looks and how well its people freindly. The site is all about used cars, basically a used auto classifieds website. Let me know. If you think i should add something that would benefit the users and SEO than i probably will. Hello, I think I replied to one of your other posts. Warning, be careful when asking for opinions, you may just get them To start, Everywhere you have Portlandsauto make it like your header image and say "Portland's Auto". This will be better for SEO. I would also change the header image and remove the text from it. Then set the image as your background and use an H1 tag for the title. It looks almost the same yet you get the benefit of the additional text and h1 tag at the top of the page. I would almost guarantee an instant improvement in SERPs. Next I would take the text you have and build it into points that are linked to your categories. Currently it looks like you quickly typed it in. "Find new and used cars, trucks, minivans, SUV's, wagons and other types of used vehicles here on Portlandsauto. Sell your new or used car for free, unlimited auto postings for both dealers and private sellers in the Portland, Beaverton, Salem, Vancouver and surrounding areas." Find you Next Vehicle at Portland's Auto: New Cars Used Cars Trucks Minivans Unlimited Postings! Dealers and Private Sellers Welcome! Perhaps the same for selling and the cities. You want all of this to stand out. With some css you can modify the lists and text to look nifty. Me trying to display formatting ideas via a forum post is nearly impossible I would also move the Google ads away from just below your center text. You want people to sign up and not leave your site. Once you get good traffic then perhaps put it back. One thing to remember about a new visitor, they "browse" and do not read. So your key points must be browseable and very easy to read until they find the subject they are looking for. On the category pages I would remove all of the ads from the left side. You have plenty of ads on the right hand side and in all honesty an over abundance of Google Ads look spammy. Perhaps replace some of them with Affiliate ads that pay more and look better. The product pages looks fine except all of the ads. Concentrate on traffic then you can use affiliate ads for better money and perhaps someday sell advertisement space to local dealers.
