Can someone give me advice on php hosting

I have the blue blood of Microsoft running through my veins, but I thought I'd try doing a couple of sites in php / mySQL instead of my usual asp.net / sqlserver.

My question is really around hosting. I'm looking for a host that allows for multi-domains, probably a couple of mySQL databases and has to be reliable. I know nothing about cpanel or anything like that, so it's fair to assume your talking to an apprentice.

Any advice of which host to go with (preferably not a re-seller of hosting services), then it would be appreciated. Cheers.

I have 2 reseller accounts and one dreamhost (monstercoder) account.

I highly suggest that you open a reseller account as well. Then you setup multple domains each with multiple databases. You difinitely get more bang for your buck.

I have 2 reseller accounts, one with 65 accounts I am billing and one with 30 personal websites of mine. One sucks and the other is doing a great job. Even sends me emails when something is going to be down, rebooted, backedup or when something is happening. The other clowns do nothing. If you interested in the company, send me a PM.

Check out my hosting website if you like; jet9.com
