I couldn't find any contact info to send this to someone directly, so I'll post it here. I'm trying to get my site verified. Adding a DNS TXT file doesn't seem to be working. I'd do the alternative of creating a new .html file with the string of characters, but my hosting provider won't let me create new files with file names that long. Can someone get in touch with me, and maybe we can work out something else? I can easily make a change to my website in some other way that will prove it's mine.
succeedsocially.com has one TXT DNS record, but it's not the one it's looking for: http://tools.digitalpoint.com/dns?host=succeedsocially.com&type=TXT Are you sure you added it to your DNS (maybe you didn't save it or something)?
I tried adding the DNS TXT record again. Hopefully in 24 hours or so it'll go through. I checked my domain provider and it looks like the last time I tried to do it it didn't take or I did it wrong. When I try to add the record at my domain provider it wants the name and a value. The "digitalpoint-ad-verifybunch of characters)" goes under the value, right? If this doesn't work, can I just make up a page on my site like 'succeedsocially.com/heydigitalpointadsIreallydoownthissitehonest' ?
Deluxe for Business / Aplus.net (It was Aplus.net when I registered the domain a while ago, it looks like they changed their name recently)
Is there a dedicated support contact I can go through for help verifying my site, or is this forum it? I feel like I could get this sorted out pretty quickly if I could just get in touch with the right person.
No, sorry... Have you tried contacting your DNS provider to ask why you are unable to add a TXT record?
No sorry... there is no manual verification process. Site owners would need to verify the site ownership themselves (that's the whole point of it).
