Can someone explain what a proxy is? And how is it that they can use your content yet strip out your ads - isn't this stealing? Your thoughts and explanations ?

Btw they cant use your content since the stuff browsed from a proxy isnt indexed unless a direct link to the result is read by a search engine bot. Its just a thing to browse blocked sites through an unblocked site. IT
a proxy as the name implies shows the sites that you are unable to access normally in your web browser...Moreover...I too have never seen ads stripped off from the sites.. Normally people use proxies to avoid their identity being viewed in the internet, it helps keep you secret, and your cookies so that you can esc from being caught..hehe...not that big story...but still i hope you got some idea..ofcourse many have already answered you with nice examples.... Proxy sites will help u to be anonymous in internet.When u request a site thru proxy sites it will send the request through its server to ur system.So u are getting all the sites u request thru the proxy sites server .........
they are equipped with better things than that. these are just for people to browse sites in a restricted networks. like schools, office or any other network that restricts direct access to the net.
