Before i thought that local means searches in my country or my language. So, what is the real difference?

And if tool shows 30 k exact, local searches, is that the exact number of searches for the term?

local means particular rankings since google have different version of search like google. jp, google. uk etc etc..
and global is standard searching or default of google which i believe is the english..

I think in Google Keyword Research tool, Local pertains to US alone while Global is the world wide count of searches.

You will search on the external version of the Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

local depends on country and global depends on all countries.
suppose you are from uk and want to search term furniture then it will show how many people locally search this term and in global view it will show u how many people search globally

Local means in your country, not your region. Global means everywhere. You can change these options in Googlw webmaster tools.
