Can someone explain how this site has pr5?

    It only has 9 backlinks none of which have pr except 1 that has pr 3.

    heh ya it is one of my competitors...

    i am curious as I cant figure it out... unless google gave it pr5 for just it's content if that is even possible.

    Its listed in Dmoz, also has way over 9 or so links, google doesnt display all the links. Use other engines

    actually i dont get it. since google on counts those 9 backlinks how does the rest of the backlinks counted in msn count towards that sites pr?

    shouldnt it only be based on what google counts?

    heh i have no idea... thanks for the helps...

    google doesn't report all the links, but it does recognize more then what it reports. SO it may actually see 1000 links, and only report 9.

    so the ranking is based on what google counts, we just don't get to see what all google counts

    That way you can't figure out who your competitors links are and emulate them.
