Can somebody reccomend me graphics optimizing software?

I need something that will make JPGs and GIFs smaller (in terms of size) while keeping quality high?

I currently use Adobe Photoshop to "optimize" my graphics, there must be something better out there?

I would say Photoshop (there's an option "save for web") and they do this pretty well with minimal lose to the photo's quality.

 

Adobe Photoshop is the BEST, very effective, extremely versatile.

By the way, check out GIMP 2.4, which was just released.
