Hi everybody.. I am new to affiliate marketing and don't know more about it. I have joined an affiliate program.. It is pay per lead prog. I have targeted persons to join the site. So, there will be approximately equivalent clicks to signups. So I want to know that Can they ban me for bringing so many sign ups as compared to clicks?? The offer is not incentivized.. I have joined them through an affiliate network.. I visited their site for more info.. They FAQ includes that you'll be banned if CTR will be high. What does this mean? I am asking these questions as I have seen many affiliates having so many clicks and very less amount of conversions comparatively. But on the other hand, some persons are getting their leads from DP members and others by paying them even if the offer is not incentivized. So, Don't they get banned?? So, plz help me regarding this.. You can also post some useful comments. Thanks..
A lot depends on how the company interprets your stats, the terms of the affiliate program and if how you are getting your leads is allowed by the affiliate program. In other words, if the people who are joining are being paid to join it may be against the terms of the affiliate program and you will get banned. If you are following the rules you should be fine. But your expectations may be too high. 100% conversion just doesn't happen unless they have an incentive to join,.
I think you'll not be banned if you have unique visitors to make conversion.. but I am not sure as I am also new to affiliate.. There are many experienced members here and they can definitely give you useful comments.
If you are not doing anything with bots etc, you will be fine. It may also be worth while telling them that your traffic is very targeted. If they are a legitimate company, they shouldn't have a problem with that. Remember though, CPA programs suffer from fraudulent affiliates, they are just trying to discourage the cheats. Hope that helps.
