Can somebody give me any tips to find in-demand niches

I've been using Google AdWords but I've noticed that when the competition is high on Google Adwords, that doesn't mean people are making money from Pay Per Click ads, which I thought we're a big factor in finding a good niche.

The point is I've heard some conflicting suggestions that left me scratching my head. If anyone has any general tips like what tools to use, what to look for on google, what to look for on clickbank, basically any methods to see how much demand there is for a niche, etc.etc.

Use keyword tools or watch TV commercials. Think of services people ask you for or you use yourself. I was getting a reputation as the computer fixer around my neighbourhood so I started promoting software that would do the job and made over $10,000 just from that.
