I noticed under the ad listing on campaigns in your control panel there are some bars for "quality index", what is this and how can you increase it? thanks
Hi there “abcd†and “Kevinn,†To answer your question, quality index is a relative measure of how relevant an ad is. Quality index is shown as one to five bars – the more bars an ad has, the higher its quality. Quality index is designed to reflect an ad's ability to meet the needs of searchers by taking into account various relevance factors and its click-through rate compared to its position and other competing ads displayed at the same time. We’ve posted a more detailed overview at the following link, as “Kevinn†was kind enough to also point out in his post: http://help.yahoo.com/help/l/us/yahoo/ysm/sps/start/overview_qualityindex.html To help improve your quality index, focus on making your ads as compelling as possible so that users will be more likely to click on them, thereby possibly increasing click-through rate. Keep the ad very relevant to the keyword and landing page. Also, be sure to include your keyword in the title and description of your ad. Consider using the Insert Keyword feature to help you do that automatically. Hope this helps. Best, YahooPete
Can you expalin the "insert keyword" feature. I was advised that from yahoo when I had a listing declined. I couldn't find that feature anywhere. Thanks
the "insert keyword" feature just does NOT seem like a good way to make your ad stand out at all. Because you see pages and pages of ads with the same title, then varying degrees of differentiated descriptions (most containing the keyword as well). Perhaps this is more an issue with ringtones than with other products??
Hi there “abcd,†The Insert Keyword feature is designed to save you time and help increase the relevance and click-through rate of your ads, by automatically inserting the keyword matched to the user’s search query into your ad’s title and/or description. You can use the Insert Keyword feature when you create an ad, or you can edit an ad so that it uses this feature. We’ve posted a helpful article on how to manage the Insert Keyword feature: http://help.yahoo.com/help/l/us/yahoo/ysm/sps/manage/mngad/manage_inskey.html For more information on other Yahoo! Search Marketing features, check out our help section: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/ysm/ Hope this helps. Best, YahooPete
The quality index is a relative measure of how relevant an ad is. It reflects an ad's ability to meet the needs of users by taking into account various relevance factors and click-through rate compared to its position and other ads displayed at the same time. It also takes into account all keywords in your ad group. Or click this link about quality index of Yahoo http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/ysm/sps/start/overview_qualityindex.html
This is a problem I'm running into, I don't want just any ole click, I want clicks from customers who are looking to buy my products. My CTR is low because of this, which seems to cause a lower ranked quality index. Seems unfair.
Hehehe, good point gecko. This is also the reason why i don't want ot use Insert Keyword Feature. I'd rather create my own list of Ads.
I am not experienced in PPC advertising. I did use the ad writing best practices for the outline of the ads. Right now, they are at the QI of 3. How can I give it a boost? Can anyone supply me some tips on how to improve the quality index on YSM? I appreciate all the help in advanced! extenddigital
