Can Some One Help Me Edit This Myspace Layout Code

NOW THIS IS the code to 50 cents page... www.myspace.com/50cent...go there and see the layout and how it is...what im trying to do...find the coding in this code to change the top banner..i alredy place this code on my profile..got what i want ..but ...the part at the top of 50 pages....i want to put my pic( a gif file ) there ..but on my page after putting the code that top part is empty...can someone help me find the part in this code where i would place my gif file at...my myspace is myspace.com/jmoneygetmoney...look there then look at 50's page and you will see on my page the top moving banner or movie is not there..im sure on 50's page is prob a flash video..but i jsut want to my gif file..which is

it's not in the styles (css), it's in the html.

first, yeah it is flash, you can tell by right clicking on it, you see Flash settings.

and you know flash files end in .swf

so you go to 50's page and look at the Page Source (html)
(in firefox, View->Page source)

now you can search for "swf" in there
(in firefox, Edit-->Find in this page)

you find the following object with link to "http://www.leakdesign.com/50cent/myspace/ecard.swf"

so to test is that it, you copy that link (just the link part as shown in the line above) and pull it up with the browser, yup that's it

so you can copy the html into yours and just change that object to your gif

now you still might have to tweak the styles (margins, etc) to get in in the same place because a flash is handled differently than a gif

 

so there is nothing in the code i pasted in the thread that i can insert my gif link?...i thought there would be becasue my page has everything i want...even the space i need at the top for my gif... but empty...there is no wehre in the code that i can place my gif at and i will see my gif instead of emplty black space...they way you told me....i understand it..will try again...but i still cant get it lol...just let me know..thanks for taking the time out

 

well you can include a pic in the styles (by using background-image:url) but that's usually for backgrounds. it gets limiting when you want to include a bunch of pics, better to put them in the html. that's what 50's designer did.

the styles are creating that big empty space for the pic. but you still have to put something in the space. and that would usually be by editing the html.

now this is a general approximation but it -looks- like:

topbanner style is going to give that big empty space anytime you call it.

so you wrap your pic in topbanner div.

50's code is loaded with tables so it will probably be a pain to work with.... tables can be pesky.

 

you know what...after looking at the code i noticed that...the top part dont have no top banner url to point to...but in the middle it does..which i know is for the back ground its self... but couldnt get to fix the code at top to insert my gif..ima look at it some more again
