yep..anon, I did notice it too before reading your post BTW, hostgator is good enough. Look for reviews left by DP members in my sig.
Get the godaddy economy hosting for $4 a month, I've never had a problem with them and since it is so cheap you could do a monthly subscription instead of yearly's. Good luck!
im using hostgator monthly price 14$/Month and im very happy. Hostgator is powerfull and fast hosting provider i think.
Bluehost is great and I'd like to recommend 2 others. Hostgator and Hostmonster, they work fine for me
I host with Lunarpages. Only one downtime in 15 or so months - fire in building, fire department uhm made them turn off generator. They are in a multi-tenant, multi-story building. They had news articles to back their story up. They have continuously added more freebies and services during the time I've been with them. They have 3 tiers for dedicated hosting for $99 to 210/month. 3 IPs, choice of Linux or Windows, and a bunch of other stuff. If interested, here's a straight link: http://www.lunarpages.com and here's my affiliate: why not?
I used to have a popular forum on LunarPages and it was timing out on a daily basis. I think they do fine for low traffic and medium traffic, but for high traffic they suck.
managed dedicated server at servstra.com for around $90 per month. I swear by them and the support is great!
