can sites really make the amount as predicted by site evaluation scripts ?
u might have come across sites evaluating ur site valuee and daily earning, on my personal experience in some of the sites I ran earlier, the daily predicted earning of my site was equal to my total month earning and some times even lesser than that,
so do actually sites come anyway closer to the predictions on those evaluators r they just like boost games for webmasters to feel tht we could make tht big money some day

I was reading another thread on this subject a couple of days ago and the thoughts are no.
The site values etc are not based on any specific formula but a random number.
I agree with this theory as I have tried 5 sites putting in the same urls and in each case the figures varied vastly. No two came up with the same values. as an example one site ranged from $200 to $12000. and various values in between.

Personally I think they are a total waste of time.

Take the results with a pinch of salt.

Focus on real numbers and real profit.

    hello..

Nice topic you have bought here buddy.
One of my site is valued @ 512,000 USD, hehe if i could sell that i might not have to work further.
And in real i earn 4-5 USD a month :) may be i could do more with the website...but thats the ratio is what i meant to say :(

sadly its just not the way its evaluated, its very over rated by most websites.
    cheers
    Josh

thanks for ur feedback and comments guys, somehow this relieves me a bit, that I am not the only one who thinks these evaluators r a gimmick

I really hope those who develop these sort of scripts, do future scripting keeping in sense with more reality

Based on my experience, the statistic given is not accurate.
I have used one of those site that claim my site making $1/day but in reality i make $10/day.

Most webmasters know they are junk. Yet they keep talking about them and using them. Weird.

I suppose they enjoy the flattery that's the estimation of their site's value (and see it as a reflection of how clever they've been).

No. They never do lol. My friend had a site worth $4000 on a evaluation site and the best price he was able to sell it for was around $30...

Sites that lie and tell you BS are NOT motivators - just think how the gullable newbie will feel when they find out their site valuation of $xxxxx is pure BS and they have been lied to. Disapointment, distrust starts to set in, then its down hill for them their motivation is seriously damaged.

Those of us that have been around know we have to be hard skinned and we know that 99.9% of things we see are unadultarated crap. The newbie is like a newborn having its first experience of life, inocent and very gullable.
And the scammers and liars and cheats are just laying in wait for them.

It really does P*ss me off.

evaluation script is based on alexa ranking and page rank............................domain age ....................so it is not giving you real evaluation.............................you just need to work hard................and you can get more earnings
