Can sitemap generator index image links?

    Dear web gurus,

    I used a sitemap generator program on xml-sitemaps.com to create the indexing of my fairly large website. After completion, when I looked into the XML raw text file, I noticed that a lot of the image links are not indexed.

    For example, for the page above, my image thumbnails point to 38 different HTML pages where I put the bigger photos (ie: /01.shtml, /02.shtml,...,/38.shtml). But when I see the XML text, it only captures random pages, eg: /01.shtml, /05.shtml, /10.shtml,... with no particular pattern.

    Any ideas how to get the generator to index all the thumbnail image links?

    I do not know about other tools, but
    A1 Sitemap Generator can do what you need.

    Download and choose <Menu> "File | New project"

    In <Tabs> "Scan website | Output filters" add:
    • .gif
    • .png
    • .jpg

    In <Tabs> "Scan website | Crawler options" check:
    "Search all link tag types"
