Can SEO can boost the products selling

I am not for sure if the SEOed website can boost company's selling, I think it is depends on the products. If the gift or small consumer electronic. Peaple may find them on the website, So, SEO for such website is good. But for some products like machine, hardware tools, hand tools, Please may go to real store to buy them.

I think not. SEO is for spiders, not people. People do not care about meta keywords or titles, nor keyword density.

I agree when you say for certain products users might prefer to go to a store but what i feel is its just a matter of regional trends. In some areas of this world everything is www based these days while in some countries it has just started. So it really depends up on the user trends.

Now secondly What SEO Helps in is Branding. Even if the buyer goes to a market place, he still searches for which Brand store to visit and that's where SEO comes into play.
