Can search engines crawlers read dynamicly generated pages?

Can search engine crawlers understand and rank dynamicly generated pages? For example PHP and AJAX coded pages. Please help because I'm thinking of basing my site of this idea and I'm not sure if doing it will kill my search engine visibility.

They are preferred more as compared to static pages and they are crawled more often.

Yes search engines can index dynamically genereated pages using PHP. All you have to do is to make sure you use the link rel=canonical attribute appropriately pointing to the page you want indexed and everything should be fine.
