Can Search Engines Crawl PDF Files

    Yes. However, the text that gets converted loses any headings that were originally applied. This means that your key phrases lose any prominence they may have had.

    Presumably DF is Digital Fire? :D

    Yes they can. Google is even working towards indexing flash files.

    These documents can be indexed


    Yahoo & MSN
    .html .htm HTML files
    .xls excel spreadsheet
    .pdf Portable Document Format
    .ppt Microsoft Power Point
    .doc Microsoft Word
    .xml XML/RSS files
    .txt Text files

    Google indexes all those and:

    .ps Postscript files (printer language)
    .dwf Autodesk
    .kml Google Earth
    .kmz Google Earth
    .rtf Rich Text
    .swf Flash

    Yes, it is! I have made some searches before wherein i encounter PDF files in the results.
