Can product's cookies be stored when user lands on squeeze page?

    Hi,

I want to drive users to a landing page which captures email addresses and sends them free content. And then I want to send them to the product later.

I want the affiliates to send traffic to this squeeze page only. But when they buy the product later, affiliate should be rewarded.

So, Can the product's cookies be stored when user lands on squeeze page?

Can I customize the cookie's lifetime?

To put it on different words: I am talking about being a merchant/seller not an affiliate. And when affiliate sends traffic to squeeze page, the user should be stored with the products cookies so that if the user buys the product 2-3 weeks later, the affiliate should get commission!

    Thanks

You basically want to stuff a cookie if I understood you right.
Can it be done? Yes.. it can be done very easily, however don't do it, because it's against Clickbank TOS and if someone reports you, it is not unlikely that you'll get your Clickbank account banned.

    Yep, it can be done.

If you have your product already approved, but want to collect opt-ins first rather than try to sell the product, simply set the main page of the hoplink to a squeeze page, that way the traffic sent gets cookied from the appropriate affiliate so when the customer decides to purchase a week or two later, the cookie stays and the aff gets the commission.

You can't modify the cookie AFAIK.

the only word of caution i would give, a lot of affiliates will stear clear of promoting a site that appears to be just an email capture, as this gives them no confidence that they'll get their commission ...

i.e. some unscrupulous people capture the email and then send the offer with their own hoplink rather than the affiliates one

so yeah, you'd have to make it very clear to affiliates that this was what was going to happen

I think affiliates don't mind sending direct to squeeze page. It's done less often these days but you can just look up the CB stats for the publisher and earned $/sale. And the best publishers make more money by squeeze page only compared to sales page and opt-in.

You are absolutely right. But a very few affiliates understand that squeeze page product conversions are better.
