Can PR0 sites rank well long term?

I have a site that is a PR0 and has been getting great traffic for being well ranked for some competitive terms. I am working on securing backlinks, continuing to provide good to great info but I am worried about long term being a PR0 and ranking well...

Do they go hand in hand?

don't worry about it, if your traffic and SERPS are good then your strategy is working.

I think most agree PR is now becoming an outdated tool to rank a website.

If your traffic and serps are good, continue what you are doing, but still keep getting those backlinks.

If your site is ranking well for good search terms why ever worry about it?

I have several websites with PR 0 and they had good rankings for almost a year but then sudenly disapeared from SERP so I think PR still matters when it concerns long term ranking. Just get some good backlinks and you'll get some PR next update.

PR of your site doesn't affect position of your site directly. It is an emanation of sites quality which points to your. But you can be ranked well (also in long term) with low PR on your site, so I thing you should not worry and keep working on it.

If you have great content and quality backlinks with the appropriate anchor text links you will rank well in the search engines regardless of your page rank.

If your site is new, then it is ranked well because google give a New Content Boost to new pages or new web sites and rank them very high in search results but only for few days.

You are going on a very right direction...
If you can sustain in Google in TOP position for more than 2 weeks, It means your strategy is just working fine for you.
But...you must work on increasing quality back links...if your back link count is reducing then...you will see a random ranking in the first page, it means..you may be dropped to second or third page.
Back link work is important. :)

PR has nothing to do with traffic. And remember, Traffic makes you money, not PR.

PR is mainly down to how many quality backlinks you have i think.

In the long term no site will remain PR0.
So I can't quite understand your question.

PR and SERPS are 2 difreent things

Higher PR DOESN"T MEAN GIGHER SERPS

So concentrate on geting serps pr will come (and it's worthless anyway)
