Can PR go down?

I recently saw a web page with just a button that read 'click here'.

But the thing that baffled me the most was that the pages PR was 8. This led me to think that maybe PR isn't all about reciprical links and page contents. So should pages like that be rated so high?

But this isn't the question. The question is : can PR go down?

That's like asking.... Can people stop linking to your site?? Can people de-rep you here, ie take your DP pagerank down??

 

Yup as stated, all depends on the links. If people remove x amount of links, your PR will go down

 

One of my sites which is now only one page is pr8 and hasnt been active for about 3 months.I think there was something wrong when google updated its PR as it was only a 5 before that.It has 600+ pages indexed in Google but Now it it down to only one and google shows no links for it although it does show that 663 other sites contain the domain name

The PR has fallen since the last time, but are you people telling me that people are ACTUALLY linking this page?

Although, curiously, that page has no PR. Although I might be accessing it wrongly (missing off the index page name, or it could be linked to from another examples page).
