    Build more baklinks can increase Your PR website. But I think PR doesn't affect SEO. The important thing you need to do is good content developing.

    Yes,

    If you stop backlink activities for your website and you also loose your existing backlink for your site and there are chances to loose your PR1 to 0. So, if you dont want to loose that PR1 then have to continue backlink activities for your site.
