If the backlinks to your site removed by any terms, you may loose PR.
If added more backlinks, you will get better PR in next update.

as long as the backlinks are there, you will retain the PR. but if the links drop or lose their own PR over time or google can't find those backlinks anymore in the future, your PR will drop.

at the same time, if you continue link building, you will get higher PR over time.

Of course- PR is directly linked to the websites that point to your site. If those links are removed, or become of a lesser quality- your PR could drop. Likewise, if the quality of the existing backlinks you have increases, you may also see an increase in your overall PR.

If you re-write most of the webpages of your site. The pr would absolutly fall down.

Some old links will disappear in time (when linking websites/pages are gone) some new appear if your content is good! so PR will tend to increase slowly. but you should work on your website regularly

Get backlinks from High PR domains and check your PR by coming June. PR often updates by 3 months. And the last update was on February. So the next update should be within June.

If you stop submitting article then it may impact on your page rank. Google gives page rank to those sites only who are continuously doing content submission on their website or any other promotional activity for generating online users.

Of course- PR is anon affiliated to the websites that point to your site. If those links are removed, or become of a bottom quality- your PR could drop
