    Seriously -

If someone had something for sale a year ago or was looking for someone to do a gig for them six months ago, chances are if you haven't responded by now, you missed out.

Why do so many people feel the need to drag old posts to the top of the forums?

I assume they do it because they have very limited intelligence or just to run up their post count, but yeah I agree it's very irritating and totally pointless, I just report them when I come across them.

I think they desperate to get money and that mean they would reply on as many threads as possible to advertise their services.
The funny thing is: whenever someone bumping an old thread whom asking for services, some people would also do the same things. It seems they were racing each others.
If you ask me why they were doing this, I would say:
    1. I think it was caused by reading the wrong eBook on 'How to be rich as soon as possible'.
    2. They didn't bother to check the date on every threads. I guess they don't care whether it is old or new thread. What really matter for them is free advertising and money.
Unfortunately, The majority of them whom doing this would end up banned from this forum.;)
    3. While I think doing such activity will degrade their credibility, I think they enjoy doing 'cheap advertising'.
Maybe they think: "No matter if the train already leaving the station, soon or later another train will come for them".:D
Yesterday, I saw someone commenting on old threads asking the price of the domains. In another time, I saw some members whom advertise their services by commenting on very old threads. I think we need to teach them on how to use Private Message.;)

senobia, are you refering to the "depreciated zone"?
As that is the older system, some of the members there dont have the 3 likes needed to repost in the other BST sections, and as such, the only way to have their product visible, is by bumping it.

but as to why people post asking if a site is still for sale years later, yeah, thats beyond me, they need a boot up the bum if you ask me.

Please report when you see necro-bumps and we will take a peep.

I am always amused when someone bumps a thread from 2006 and posts that link is not working.
