Can Paypal Indian users withdraw money to bank account/use paypal balance to buy?

Hello,

I want to ask according to current changes in paypal policy, indian paypal users can withdraw available balance in bank account?

1. bcz i've read in notice that it needs to be withdrawn within 7 days but i've balance available from last few months..can i withdraw? if not, any other way to get my money?

2. Can i use paypal balance to buy from ebay.com and other sites? to pay monthly bill to hosting providers etc?

i've even read this things that they dont allow to use paypal balance now but allows only credit/debitcard through paypal..wtf..then wht's use of paypal?we can transact directly with debitcard/creditcard, no need of paypal then..paypal is loosing indian customers if these rules r true..

According to new rules taking effect in March (havent seen the full forced implementation tough) you are not supposed to keep balance in paypal for more than a week and need to transfer it to a bank account . And for making purchases through paypal account, it should go from the credit card associated with the account

 

so if i get 40USD in my paypal, i need to withdraw within 7 days? mean charge of withdraw due to amount <7000 all time..

And i cant use to purchase on ebay.com and pay my hosting provider bill..it sucks now..

can i withdraw via cheque after 7 days or not by cheque too?
wht if i wasnt able to withdraw within 7 days?
i'll loose my money?

 

i ussually use paypal exchanger balance to witdhrawl my PP, i have never been pulled directly to my account bank

You can buy products within 7 days after receiving it.I dont know what happens after 7 days so i just transfer it to my friend's PayPal acc before the 7th day ;

i get my money from infolinks,chitika, donator/subscriber of my website..i'm not seller on ebay or something like that..so i dont have buyers..
if i get 40USD then i ned to transsfer it within 7 days to my bank account each time rather than waiting to get 150+ and withdraw it? so 50/-INR charge everytime?

 

sorry what i meant to say was you can buy products within 7 days after receiving money from any source.I you dont want to transfer the cash to your bank acc yet you should send it to a NON India PayPal member whi you trust.Thats what i do..

I have no clue wat happens if u dont withdraw to ur bank ac..

U can try it out with 1$..Keep it for 7 days and c..

Indian paypal users received this email today. Important points are from 1st march 2011 if you receive payment for some online job or selling goods and services, you can’t use that money to make purchases online. And you must withdraw that money into your bank account within 7 days. That means you need a credit card to make purchases online. You must attach a credit card to your paypal account.

 

At present the money simply lies there after 7 days too.
Not tried to withdraw though...it should work.

By the way you cannot buy anything using paypal directly(except via linked CC) - not within 7 days, not after that. Never for Indian Users.

This is not PayPals fault - this is our very own RBI clerks at work. They have no problems with massive swiss bank accounts of thugs - but a ordinary entrepreneur - well lets put some obstacles.

This is the reason you will never see a Google or a Facebook out of India.

 

Well, I've just purchased 140USD stethoscope from ebay.com via paypal, so we can use paypal balance yet. I hope paypal will take longer to implement changes.

 

I just purchased 5 domains with my paypal balance so I guess we can still use our balance to purchase stuff. I am not sure how long this is going to last but I hope they never implement it.

 

Yes, we can still use paypal balance to pay online, paypal says it will send an email when the new rules are active, i hope paypal takes a lot of time sending those unlucky email to indians !

 

I am withdrawing with no problem. But I haven't use the BUY option, as I have nothing to buy online through my PayPal.
