Hello Guys, I just got a mail from someone called Jennifer Desue, that she wants to buy text links on some of my blog posts and she will give me $10 for 5 lines of advertisement per post. I happily agreed and posted her links and shared my paypal and today i got a reply from here that i will get the payment soon. But today i read this post and got scared that can someone hack our paypal accout just by knowing the paypal id. Please check this post, many bloggers have been contacted by her with different names http://dagboek.thesserie.com/calling-all-probloggers-read-this/ Please suggest... Thanks...
Hacking your PayPal by knowing your PayPal ID? This is the most weird thing I heard of. I guess no one can access your account, even with accurate account info he'd need to go through some security stuff that requires more than your account info. IP/Location/Email.
Yes i totally agree with you, but after reading the post, which i mentioned in my thread, i was bit scared. Anyways thanks for replying... A strong pament gateway like paypal should not be having such a big loophole, i totally rely upon paypal. i hope my fear proves to be wrong. --Ashish
Enpassant has some good points Paypal has a very secure website,if there is a breach in your account then the person will also have to know the bank account number thatis attached to the PP account. Now don't get me wrong PP has been hacked before.
Check out the threads on DP about paypal hacking too: - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=130376 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=595003 Thanks...
You need both the email address and password in order to access your paypal account. As long as you do not give your password directly or indirectly, you should be safe.
Make sure your passwords are strong enuf and randomn alphabets and numbers and you showuld alws scan your pc regualary for key loggers etc.
I'm not sure how she'd be able to hack your account with just your ID - isn't your PayPal ID simply your password? Anyone you send a payment to or do business with can have this information in short order. Additionally, instead of encouraging you to use a single secure or unknown email address, PayPal allows you to add up to 9 (I believe). Be careful with your password and use a separate password for sites you signup with and I think you should be fine. That said, I'm not sure i'd do business with the person who contacted you. Best of luck and take care!
You should also be careful of emails sent to you, some of them could contain links to a phishing site
haha , its possible for me not simple but i can hack any paypal account with password and also e-mail password
Yes.. TO hack Paypal Is very Easy Now a days.... People make their spoofed page upload in some host,,, and send u the email ,,with some resion and trick so u open their link and upload ur paypal id and passwrld ,,,adn then ,,thats it ,,, the information will sent to his server ,,,, Hacked
ok doesn it mean, if i dont click on any of the vague links, then my paypal account can not be hacked, right?
Spoofing is Something Different from hacking paypal passwords are highly encrypted ,but there are some naughty cheats to find pp passwords i don't use paypal accounts with less than 3K balance
