I have a breaking news blog which i update minutes or hourly....sometimes am ahead of key companies like CNN, Fox, Sky, BBC and so forth...but my misery is ..no one has ever visited the blog to search for breaking news!!
Does any one have bright ideas?

Sounds like your blog is not optimized to capture any search traffic. That is a very competitive industry, as you said, some big players there with the public's trust already.
You need to come up with a unique angle to get interest, maybe editorials or opinions.

From my experience, just feeding the news, will not get you very far. I tried something similar during the U.S. presidential elections...it was only after I started to post opinions did I actually start getting traffic and links back to the blog.

You could also have some design and navigation problems, it's hard to say without actually seeing the blog.

Im guessing your not promoting your blog and only posting on it?

automate it and then spend your time building links. It then might start to rank over time.

By automating it, wouldn't he be pulling in duplicate content from feeds? Wouldn't that be self-defeating in the end?
