    Are you saying that when you do a traceroute using the IP you get a result that looks like it could be/is correct, but when you do it for the domain-name it can't complete even the first step and the route is "unreachable" or "unrouteable"?

    If that's the case then you have a problem with DNS. The first thing I'd do is check your domain is still "live" - should it have been renewed? It's easy to overlook the renewal or there may be a problem at the registrar you used.

    If the domain is still live and that is OK, then check what you have as the authorative nameservers for the domain. If these are correct then check that the DNS records for your domain are complete and that the DNS servers are operating correctly. You can do a "DNS Check" using a 3rd party on your domain records - search Google for "DNS Check".

    If the 3rd party DNS Check shows all this to be OK, then the problem is either local to your immediate set-up or it is with your ISP.

    If you get a partial traceroute when looking up the domain it might help if you posted the results here or sent them to your host for them to examine.

    Hope this is some help.

    you need to check the DNS for your PC

    do nslookup domain.com and see what happens

    I would also suggest that you switch to opendns or the newly launched google public DNS and than test again
    The Google Public DNS IP addresses are as follows:

    * 8.8.8.8
    * 8.8.4.4

    If you are sure the DNS settings for your domain are correct, and a 3rd party DNS check confirms this (or others can connect but you can't) then it still points to a DNS problem, not with the DNS servers for your domain but those of your ISP or some local issue.

    DNS is the single most important internet service. Without it, no-one will be able to find you site and nothing on the internet that everyone takes for granted would be possible, or easy, without DNS servers operating. DNS is relatively simple, but it is also the cause of the type of problems you have been experiencing. Running through a number of DNS checks, and carrying out tracerts by IP and domain-name, provide clues and evidence as to why you have been experiencing the problems you have.

    Getting a new server might help, but if there are fundamental problems with DNS locally or at your ISP then the same problem may happen again and it is important to find the root of the problem.

    Hope everything goes well with your new server and you don't experience any more problems.

    I don't know how much i can thank you but idk if it was the Google DNS or just my domains DNS that has fully propagated.
    Thank you so much for the help, i'll be sure to look back to this thread again in the near future :)
