Is it posssible for content on one page to rub off on other pages?

Lets say there is some dubious content on one page.

Maybe some swear words, some blacklisted words, drugs, sex and make some stuffing.

Can this affect others pages on the domain or is the SEO really just restricted to that single page.

I mainly ask cause, if I copy an article from somewhere, will this affect my whole sites SEO?

I dont care about ranking for that page, but I dont want it to cause problems for the whole site.

The article im copying is mine from another site.

Yes, one page affects the others. That said: If the article you want to copy to your own site is quality, do copy it. It's your own after all. You want people to link to your site preferably. And some will, if the article is signed and all that. I mean, I often research where something came from before linking to it.

    yes

it can. if one page on the domain is poorly managed then the domain is poorly managed

yes. try rewording it before copying it. try reading it, learning it, then writing the same article in your own words without looking at the original. if you must quote, just take very short extracts and/or use markup to indicate quotation.
