Well, I think so wordpress is the simplest script we have for bloggers ;) Well, it may not be so that easy for the beginners. You just need to install your WP and then play with it ;) and just Google your queries, Google teaches each and everything :)

After sometime you will be familiar with your WP . Well, I just got a link for you that certainly will help you : codex[.]wordpress[.]org/New_To_WordPress_-_Where_to_Start

I love Wordpress. In fact, all of my blogs are powered by Wordpress. There are two types: wordpress.com (free) and wordpress.org (to be installed in your server). Since you're a new Wordpress user, I would suggest you play around at Wordpress.com first. Make an account, create a blog, select a template and all those stuff needed to run a functional blog. Now, when you're already comfortable, you can download the script from wordpress.org, install it on your server and manage it by yourself.

The good thing about managing your own Wordpress script is the fact that you can add plugins and tweak it until you're satisfied. Wordpress is great and you won't regret spending time tinkering it.

Wordpress is not only good as a blog system. It may be used as a serious CMS solution. I've said goodbye already to Drupal and Joomla long time ago.

Believe me, just play around with it and then you will research on your own terms. Best way to get the hang of it.

Personally i like wordpress, it is one of the best open source content management system which supports php, javascript etc. If you want to start new blog then it will be the best option and for that you need to follow these simple steps:

Got to wordpress.org and download the wordpress
Upload it on server by following it's guidelines
    Now create your blog/website.

Wordpress is so easy to use and update which you cannot do with static sites. I have changed many of my online stores over to Wordpress using the paid WP-eStore plugin.

There are so many tutorials for all different parts in wordpress, it's too easy to use.
I suggest you play with it a little and come back to this forum with specific questions about things you can't solve.
There are also things that are called - plugins, which are like to 'addones' of firefox. With these plugins you can do just about anything with no understanding what so ever in PHP.

WordPress is the most common CMS on the internet. If you can't figure it out reading all the tutorials on the web, try viewing some YouTube videos. There are plenty of YouTube videos about WordPress. I'm sure you'll get all about it then. :)
