Can lots of outbound links hurt our website in search engines? And will it hurt if I turn them all to do-follow? Actually, I want to start a new forum and I don't know, which is the best option for my links. In my opinion, we have to put outbound links as do-follow if they are pointing to the pages of the same website. Putting other links to no-follow doesn't effect anything. However, I am confused about numbers? What will happen if I have 500 no-follow and 10 do-follow links on my website? What you think?
No , no follow outbound links doesn't hurt the website. but it doesn't mean that you should go through all the outbound links on your site and make them no follow. it is not safe. Srinagar Tour Package
Thank you friends, I found that most of forums have set 70% outbound links as no-follow, and still they are doing well in search engines. But I also noticed that they doesn't show lot of links on the same page. There are 70% links are pointed to same website pages, which are do-follow and all others are no-follow. Am I wrong?
No follow outbound links are not much bad but make sure they are informative so that user got some informative data from your site.
Think of it from this perspective. The search engine loves when the link building network is built up naturally. As you have already seen, more than 70% of the places will provide with a NoFollow link. So the search engine algorithm will expect that a network would have plenty more NoFollows than DoFollows. Of course, as with anything, you should not overdo it. But the good thing is that you don't have to do anything special or put an extra effort, you have already built your network that way so you just have to continue doing what you're doing
Google doesn't give any weightage to no-follow links, that is why it is not harmful for your website's ranking in Google SERP. If you want to take benefit from no-follow links, you have to try to create some informative backlinks for your website that will help you in generating quality traffic. Such links are extremely good for your business.
