Hi all, Paypal has permanently limited my account which means I cannot sell or buy on eBay or use any of their services any longer. This was due to a incident dated back in September 2009 where there was two charge-backs resulting in a negative balance. It was now decided I cannot use any of their services because the negative balance was paid in 2012 as I have just found out. I am trying to contact the buyers of the charge backs as I am totally oblivious to the matter and believe there was something suspicious happening there, despite this I took responsibility and paid the negative balance in full as I wish to continue doing business with them. I received no letter or phone call about the negative balance, every phone call about why my account is limited was never explained - they would only mention I can no longer use Paypal. So I had to keep digging myself out and argue the matter further until they finally gave me some insight to why, because of a associated link to my "original" account which had the negative balance. They mentioned I will have access restored if I paid all the negative balance so I have done this but it was a set-up and they throw me into a brick wall barrier again. They have been holding my money for almost 2 months now although I provided tracking references and the buyer sent positive feedback after receiving the item. - is this a joke? I have positive activity and feedback in the recent years with my buyers, I had no charge-backs or disputes against me, no negative balance and yet I am considered high risk because the incident 3 years ago. How is me buying items on ebay a risk when there has been no incidents. I can no longer use Paypal guest, my home address is blacklisted from the looks of it. Is there anything I can do?
Open another paypal a/c with alltogether different name , address and use a new ip. Don't use the old ip. and if u are using for ebay then ebay a/c. will also be a new one, don't use the old ebay a/c. because after few days/years also they can say that this new a/c. is linked with the older one. Start everything fresh..
Call PayPal and explain the issue to their support team. You will have to go through like 10 people until you find somebody who will actually listen to your problem without redirecting you.. those people sometimes live in a different dimension and, apparently, we're just making THEIR life worse... Keep calling because I am sure you will find somebody who will review your account. That permanent ban is not that permanent at all, I had my account blocked permanently two times... the same week-end. It took me 30-40 minutes to restore it because of all the excuses they had. My problem was a chargeback of 25-30USD, after a buyer tried to screw me over.. I have even won the case before they limited my account "permanently".
