Can name servers have the same IP as the dedicated server?

Setting up DNS on a dedicated linux server. Can both name servers have the same IP as the server itself, or must the name servers have IPs that are different from each other?

    Thanks.

    Ok,

ONE of the name servers can be the same IP as the webserver.
Generally you need to setup an alternate DNS server which means a different IP address, you TECHNICALLY can setup a second IP address on the server and set that second IP as the second DSN server.
