After a poor performace in Belgium in their first encounter against Standard Liege, Liverpool are hoping to come out on top of this. It will be a big shock for fans, players and owners as it will destroy their season right now. Liege showed some decent football on the first game. I hope that the wins against sunderland and Boro helped boost moral and they pass, but i'm a bit scared. The team isn't ready yet and it could cost them! what do you think?
Well at home, it would be easy game for Liverpool and I am sure Liverpool will go through to group stages. I will go with 2-0 win for Liverpool.
I shall be supporting Standard Liege. This is the CHAMPIONS League; Standard Liege won their league, Liverpool could only finish fourth in theirs. It's not as if the Belguim league is some fifth-rate competition like the Welsh League, it's got its fair share of big teams - Anderlecht being another. It's all wrong that the Belgian CHAMPIONS should have to play a big club like Liverpool in order just to make the group stages. Make Liverpool qualify sure, they were only the fourth best team in England - but not at the expense of Liege.
It would be really bad for Liverpool to go out so early, because I don't think they really have a chance of winning the Premiership this year, or in fact, for the next years at least. They are a much better cup side than a league side, for sure. They play well at the big matches but falter at the lower key ones.
Liverpool is for sure a strong team so hopefully it gets over it but we all know how tricky the hazard is sometim es..
Champions League is not a problem at all for Liverpool. They are the most consistent team in CL. This is because Rafa Benetiz coaches them in a different manner. They always manage to get through to the knock-out stages and sometimes even the finals..
Yes you are right and no one know why Liverpool best in CL. Draws for them: Group D Liverpool PSV Eindhoven Marseille Atletico Madrid
Liverpool has always been a cup team. they can concentrate better on several precise games and have difficulties maintaining that form on the long term. though it might not look like it at first glance but it's a dangerous group. any team can qualify, though Marseille are considered a bit inferior.
Yes but now here Rafa's experince in Spain will work for Liverpool and I think Liverpool go to next stage before 6th match.
