One of my friend hates taking bus, because she is car sick, she usually listen the music when she take the bus,is this really useful?
More practice, more comfortable. Years ago, I was troubled by car sick, too. But now, I've overcome that.
It really depends on the music, and the bus. I think a read somewhere that if you listen to rap in the car, you are more likely to get car sick. And if you listen to rap music on the bus, you are more likely to bet bus sick. The same study showed that if you listen to rap outside of the car, you get just as sick. It was a follow up to a study that showed that if you listen to the Bee Gees in the car, you get better gas mileage and you can use the carpool lane. Who knew?
what a random thread to find very intriguing. Not sure about the music but I can add that making sure you look at the furthest point outside will help. If possible the horizon. It takes away the notion of the motion Actually listening to music might not help because you will spend lots of time messing around with your mp3 player , therefore looking down and concentrating on short distances, your peripheral vision will notice the outside world whizzing by and you will feel queezy.
Can't see where that could really help because it's a balance / inner ear thing. Try sitting as close to the front as possible and keep looking out windows.
I dont know why there are some of persons is a car sick. I am both comfortable on car and bus with or without music as long as I have my mates with me.
use classical music and close your eyes and you will feel good! Why ? : the classical music produces low frequencies that the brain relaxes when it listen to, also it makes the brain becomes in ignorance for movements and shocks when eyes closed and relaxed , so u don't get sick !
It may help in the sense that it will distract your friend from the fact that she is on a bus, but in the end the ear has nothing to do with preventing carsickness. The eyes, yes, that is why you shouldn't read when on a moving vehicle.
