Can Joomla Do this?

I want to make a site where me and my friends upload photos and rate them. I want everybody to be able to upload these photos, not just the admin. If yes, then what plugins or extensions should/can I use?

Try searching "joomla hot or not module" on google. There are lots of results. I guess you can search for a gallery module for joomla too. They should have uploading and rating features.

 

I believe the mod the prior poster mentioned will work.

I talked to somebody on the IRC channel and they said using Gallery2 with Gallery2 Bridge to go with joomla would be a great idea. Ill check out the hot or not thing too. Thanks guys.

 

oh yea why not not only joomla but phpnuke,drupal,xoops... everyone has this module.

I suggest you to try out 4images gallery for this purpose. I think there is also an integration with joomla.
