Hi all, I want to know, if I have domain book.in, can by default it rank higher than book.com for searching keyword "book" on Google India google.co.in SERPs ?
I haven't seen any such preferences in the .co.in version of Google which I use almost everyday. I guess it all depends on the competition. You can set the factors in Google Webmaster tools
It could rank higher if they search for terms for that country. Not sure if you have to be same page rank for you domain name as other one also.
The .in extension can rank higher than the .com extension but you'll need to get links, good content, and that stuff to rank better.
FYI go0gle did not take into consideration of domain extension. what matter is only PR ,content, backlink will get you high in SERpH.
what I asked is that by "default" can .in domain rank higher thank .com domain for the same keyword in google.co.in ? what I mean by "default" is by excluding backlink, PR, etc.... Lets say, I register thisisdomain.in and thisisdomain.com right now, so these 2 domains are really really still fresh and new.. Then I fill these 2 domains with same content, should thisisdomain.in will show higher than thisisdomain.com on google.co.in SERP for searching keyword "this is domain" ?
