Can i use twitter to build my site pr?

I wonder that can i use my twitter account to to build backlink to increase my site pr? I just check out my twitter account and found that it has pr 5 and of course, i could put one backlink point to my own site.
So, could that pr 5 backlink will increase my site rank or not?

 

twitter is useful only for generating traffic with your latest updates. You cannot improve your PR with twitter & it will not give backlinks, as it is no follow

Site rank does not equal PR. So make sure you know what you are asking first. Twitter's home page might be PR5 but there inner pages are probably 0. One link will usually do nothing. You usually need thousands of high PR links to increase your site's PR.

twitter home's PR is 9 and my profile account is 5. That's why i ask if i could increase. No matter what happen, it is still nofollow. Zero chance to rank with it

u can use twitter for your website but these means u can not use twitter for your site pr instead u can better use for busting your business traffic.

 

there's also lots of sites that scrape & republish tweets - a site like that will often republish nofollow'd links as normal. also, twitter is good for the "social graph" rank metric which is likely to become more and more important.
