You can try anything, but if you develop a site that directly references a trademark like that in its domain name - expect the possibility of a cease and desist letter from the trademark holder's lawyers.

Absolutely not. It's taboo. Why would you face the possible lawsuits and what not when you can come up with an original name and be praised rather than be tarnished

    Oh really?

    http://mashable.com/2012/05/17/iphone5-domain/

Do other drivers going 100 or more in a 60-kph road tell you whether that's safe or not?

To the OP: that depends how you want to use it. If you especially want to use it in a
way that's "riding" on Apple's iPhone trademark, unfortunately Apple won't allow that if
they especially find you and don't give you permission.

You could perhaps try a so-called non-commercial fair use. If Apple decides to make it
an issue, though, then you still have to defend against that if ever.

I'd avoid it. You might be fine for a little while but if the Apple lawyers are bored one day and happen to stumble across your site all it will take is a cease and desist letter and your site is gone.

OK from all replies i can conclude that you are safe until Apple not see your site otherwise they can file case any time.
I will not create site on my domain.

When in doubt about trademark status, to Trademarkia and look up the term to see if there is an active trademark within the same industry you'd be using the domain for. If the answer is yes, then avoid registering a domain that contains that term. If you have already registered such a domain, get rid of it.

Just because a company like Apple hasn't filed a lawsuit against all the cybersquatters yet does NOT mean that they're not gathering evidence to use against them tomorrow. Trademark violations can cost thousands and thousands of dollars in fines. And big companies like Apple have big teams of lawyers; so the owners of domains that violate their trademark won't stand a chance in court when that day arrives.

NOTE: "cybersquatters" does NOT apply to everyone who invests in domain names. It only applies to people who knowingly infringe on trademark or other identity rights of a unique established business. Domaining and cybersquatting are not the same thing, even though the latter damages the reputation of the former when business owners confuse the two.

By using trademark domain , will it become a real challenge for you to make your site grow. If you put new content and worry about trademark as well then it might cause your site hard to grow well. Might as well you choose other domain name .
There is risk there. If you smart to those policy then go with it , because keyword is king to make your site full with traffic.

My two cents... if your site becomes popular, than the trademark owner may notice you and take action.

I wouldn't put a trademarked name like that in my domain. I'd come up with something else to avoid any possible lawsuits.
