Can i use the same Google Analytics Tracking code and script after my site is revampd

I have a site in which i have integrated Google analytics for the past 3 years, now i'm completely revamping my site in its design/content/structure , my doubt is can i use the same Google Analytics account(Both tracking code and the script) in my new website, i mean just copy paste it from my old site to new site and its pages.???

 

As per my opinion you could able to use the same code for your newly design website.

I just want to ask you one thing. Have you also changed domain name? If your answer is YES than that code wont work.

 

Rightly said by ketan, it will work fine in the case you have same domain.

 

You can use your old script and code of Google Analytic for your new revamped website ..if you redesign or transfer your website over a new domain you can use your old script as.

Only difference is there if you are use the old script over new domain ..you can not get old data ..that's it.
