Just curious, how does the picture owner find out about using their copyrighted pictures? Just really curious how they do the search.
Well there are softwares to find it out, moreover Google itself will find out and penalize you before the actual owner does. So its better to get the permission from the owner itself or just put up your own pictures. You can also find many sites you have option of using their pics in stock
I'm a copywriter for a web design company & we use www.stock.xchng.com - most of theirs is free, and are marked as 'standard' - so each photo will tell you if it's free or not. I hope this helps.
Actually you can as long as you acknowledge the source of the photo. This is to avoid future issues. My friend is a good photographer and he puts watermark on all of his photos. There was one time when a huge TV network used his photos and removed the watermark. In the end, my friend won and he got a huge sum of money from that network. Going back, this is also part of an internet etiquette so better place your image source on your article.
do an advanced search on google images and u can choose to see images that you can reuse on your website online
You should not use copyrighted photos. Even if you use copyrighted photos, you should mention the source as the owner's site address or credit goes to owner name/address.
hi.....karrydee....! yes you can use Google images on your articles. you can use the logo and photos on your articles. It may be Google Google will penalized for that...........!
So I am starting a blog/website about different bands and I want to post pictures from google images. Is this legal? Is there a legal way of using the pictures without asking for each individual picture? Can I link or say who's picture it originally is? I am not trying to take credit for the picture or anything
hey if the picture is copyrighted than your i trouble if its not than you are ok. The copyright is mostly on the picture the website of the picture
If you really want to be safe do an advanced search for Pics. It's the little widget on the top right of Google images page. then check "Only images labeled for reuse".
Quick way to lose your adsense account is to get reported for using copyright material. The photos belong to a real person and they are not free to use unless stated. As said a few times the only pics you can use without seeking permission are those in the advance search labelled for reuse.
