I want to start selling ebooks and want to know if I can use paypal for this service. Is paypal a good avenue for this? If not or if you have a better suggestion or service I can use please let me know. Thank you,
It depends what type you want to sell. If it is a big one, i would suggest using Clickbank, if it is just a small e-book, i would just use paypal and sell it on digitalpoint.
Thanks for your response, one question, do they pay via paypal and you email the book? What process do you use? Thank you,
Hello, If you are selling on ebay, you can use paypal, then ebay has a digital deleverys system that auto sends them the ebook after they pay using paypal. If you have an ebook website, if you bought it, theirs a good chance its digital delevery, if you are selling on here, or a hand made site, they send you payment, you email them ebook.
In terms of payment - the 2 cheapest are paypal and clickbank. You can set up your own via a merchant account but costs are high. You can deliver manually or via a digital delivery provider. The 2 I use are e-junkie and DLguard. The latter is more secure but costs quite a bit to have the license each year.
try using an e-book store that uses paypal for a payment gateway. i have an e-book store that does just that for $10 if your interested, PM me.
I suggenst u to use E-gold ... If u have Old egold account ..so it would be better u r account never blocked if its Old account
Clickbank specializes in digital products, there's just no beating them, check them out... You can also get affiliates to promotr your product for you, so all you ahve to do is sit back and watch you account fill up
Clickbank is good, I've been an affiliate with them for awhile and have sold many a product for their publishers. Most of their product lines are ebooks.. but yes you can accept paypal for ebooks.
Yes, as another member mentioned I'm also afraid that Digitial Delivery is no longer possible via eBay. One additional problem you might run into if you're selling your own books is that some will try to charge back the purchase to their credit card (i.e. reversing your payment). There are some security measures you can use to at least deter this kind of practice; display a fraud policy, etc... However, my best experiences have been with eBooks that have a 100% guarantee, which kind of eliminates the chargeback issue. Go for volume rather than sweating the few cheaters. As a consumer, I'm much more likely to buy when there's a refund avaliable if needed. While I have requested refunds for some low low quality eBooks... I've also had experiences where I would have bought without a guarantee and been more than happy to pay for an expensive eBook that has real insight to share. Best of luck to you!
