Hi there, in fact i just noticed that Google said every adsense site must have a "Privacy Policy". My question is: can I use P3P instead of "Privacy Policy" webpage, you know, they statement same thing, (almost) and, when did google start ask for "Privacy Policy", why DP does not have one?
Yepp, I heard it said last year about march https://www.google.com/adsense/supp...orefrontEN_v2_ProgramPoliciesLink&medium=link Google Advertising Cookies AdSense publishers must have and abide by a privacy policy that discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users' browsers, or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on your website.
its in the TOS and everyone must agree to it. google is just protecting their butt at this point and working towards showing more credibility. they are not enforcing the privacy policy rule as of yet but it can change in the future. whether it is enforced or not, its safe to have one on the site than sorry later.
Your privacy policy has to specifically mention the cookies placed by Google and give a link for people to opt out. These details have to be included: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=100557
